| One of
the means that WEF has adopted in developing
all sections of society to enrich their
knowledge about environment and development
is to organise national and international
conferences and workshops focusing on
the contemporary issues relating to
environment. Continuing this tradition
for over 6 years of its existence, WEF has been the
organiser and host of six such World
Congresses starting from 1999 through
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. These
conferences had been supported by several
governmental, non-governmental organizations,
industries, small and medium size enterprises
etc. and were attended by large number
of people from diverse fields and activities
from different parts of the world. |
